Some cooktops are equipped with cooling fans that run to protect internal electronics. These fans may continue operating even after cooking ends.
If the fan runs constantly, it could indicate excessive heat buildup or a faulty temperature sensor. Poor ventilation beneath the cooktop can also cause extended fan operation.
Occasional fan use is normal, but nonstop operation may require inspection.
